Hey Corporate, Don’t You Have Virtually Any Concerns?
High quality supplements having the right ingredients are definitely a boon for our body and skin. But, what happens when the supplement industry starts acting without conscience and begins taking the consumers for a ride. This is what happened with a big supplement manufacturer in the United States recently. Mr. Warren Matthews, Chairman of Xtend-Life Natural Products (Intl) Ltd, talks about the unethical corporate practices followed by this company in the United States and why it is very important for every corporate to act with conscience.
“Irwin Naturals, a large Californian supplement manufacturer, have just been forced to pay a US$2.65 million settlement for unfair business practices stemming from two main counts. One was that some of their products contained more than 10 times the legal limit for lead. This was the most serious as this can be damaging for your health.”
The other was that the Hoodia product that had the high lead contamination did not actually have any Hoodia in it.”
