Adhd Score Scale – Understanding The Conner’s Rating Scale
The Conner’s ADHD Rating Scale – Revised (CRS-R) is the most commonly used scale, and it plays a significant role in allowing doctors to accurately diagnose children with Attention Deficit Disorder. It should however also be mentioned that this on its own, cannot be used to determine whether or not a child has the disorder.
ADHD is by all accounts a very complex mental health issue, and irrespective of what one might have heard or been told, there is no one single test available for diagnosing the condition. Unfortunately, there are many doctors, including countless psychiatrists, who are willing to treat children for ADHD based entirely on their behavioral traits.
While there is certainly no shortage of information regarding ADHD, there is a serious lack of ADHD specialists. A duly experienced specialist will of course also use an ADHD rating scale, but they’ll also carry out and/or order several other tests before coming to a conclusion.
